A Short Letter to Church Musicians

Dear Church Choir Members,

You add a layer of beauty to the Mass.

You’ve got one of the most prestigious positions in the world. You glorify God with music. You cast energy and joy upon the congregation!

That is a lot of responsibility, but you spend many hours preparing and practicing your art.

God has given you a gift. Such a beautiful gift should be nurtured and fine-tuned. You must always sing with energy and enthusiasm to properly glorify God, and to help the congregation in doing so.

Performing with energy will be easy if you just remind yourself that you’re in one of the highest positions in the community. You are making music for the Creator! You’re receiving one of the most beautiful gifts God has given us, and you’re using it to glorify him.

Thank You
